First ever Spartan Gym opens at 1 Hotel South Beach

Miami-based hotel will house 14,000 square-meters of workout space.

At 14,000 sq feet, the Spartan Gym certainly isn’t small. For a hotel gym, this place is incredible

The very first Spartan Gym has found a home within the 1 Hotel South Beach, Miami, USA. Famed for its obstacle race, Spartan now enters the everyday fitness scene with this enormous indoor workout facility that combines traditional weights equipment with a host of unique obstacles lifted from the renowned race to help build functional strength.

The gym is split into four zones – strength, endurance, athleticism and mind – each of which guest will find a Spartan-certified trainer to provide guidance and advice. As well as the usual dumbbells, cardio machines and the like, there’s also an overhead rope rigging to climb, a sled push track and even an outdoor yoga area.

Spartan Gym plans to host special weekends and weeks for those training for upcoming races. 1 Hotel South Beach will also introduce speciality Spartan packages for hotel guests that will include bespoke food menus, class recommendations and spa treatments to unwind after your workout.

John Gauch, Vice President of Spartan Training said “We are thrilled to partner with 1 Hotels to bring the first-ever Spartan Gym to 1 Hotel South Beach. This new gym will set the bar for Spartan training, allowing guests to fully explore and reach their fitness potential”.

Here at Short Motivation, we’re particularly excited about this gym, having stayed at 1 Hotel South Beach three times and seen its progress over the last year. We can assure you, it’s huge! Look out for a Spartan gym review from ourselves in the next few months.
