Citymapper is a city-wide route-planning app which provides a comprehensive list of options for your route, taking you from A to B using your mobile connection to navigate through to your destination.

The app homepage displays a small map of your location including an inset tube map. From your current location you can view travel options within 5 minutes walk. If you select to walk or cycle, Citymapper will tell you how many calories you will burn and the equivalent in food. e.g. half a chocolate bar or one bacon butty

It’s never been easier to track and count your calories as it is with MyFitnessPal. The world’s most popular health and fitness app was gobbled up by sports brand, Under Armour, for a whopping $475m, which should give you some idea about usefulness.

MyFitnessPal holds a growing database of over six million foods and beverages that are each broken down to show their nutritional values. Armed with this information, you can then see how many calories you’re about to swallow down and make sure you stay on target with your fitness goals.
